Project Bay is one of our most important partners. They are a big part of the CoWorkLand network of Coworking Spaces, Innovation- & Startup-Hubs. And while Project Bay offers Workation at many scenic places by the sea, recent additions to the portfolio can be found in bustling cities all over Germany. So naturally, when Rainer Kiebat, the Founder of COWORKATIONERS, was recently invited to speak about Ireland at a Coworking-event in the Leipzig area, “Leipzig Bay” in the heart of the city became a stop for #CoworkationersOnTour.
In Leipzig, the innovative hub of Central Germany, productive work environments meet inspiring culture. Surrounded by a unique blend of historic industrial buildings and modern architecture, our location offers the perfect setting for creative minds. Here, professional ambitions align with a thriving art and music scene – an ideal place for groundbreaking workations. “Leipzig Bay” is located at INNSiDE by Melia, a modern hotel in the heart of the city, with beautiful rooms, a stunning roof-terrace that offers views on a green and historic city with parks, churches and merchant buildings. Workationers can relax on the terrace and work away on their laptop in a laidback atmosphere, but they can also retreat to one of the meeting rooms for a bit of quiet.
COWORKATIONERS took a seat in the working area downstairs, which is close enough to the lobby with the attentive, friendly staff, but also in a quieter corner with enough desks for several workationers. We found the fact that the area has windows facing the busy streets of Leipzig inspiring. It is workation in the heart of the city.
Leipzig Bay at INNSiDE by Melia is connected to its city, which makes it a location ideal for workationers who want to become COWORKATIONERS, who want to connect with parts of the ecosystem like universities, business-organizations or Startups. We spoke to the Hotel Manager Robert Bauer, who shared valuable insights on the many clusters that can be found in Leipzig from Media to Medtech, from Logistics to Energy. He also showcased how connected and open to collaboration people in Leipzig are. Robert and his staff are connectors to their city.
Of course everyone at INNSiDE by Melia also has INNSiDEr-tips on the tourist attractions of Leipzig – some obvious, some more hidden – but we also spoke to Martin Duerrschmidt of Leipzig Tourism while at “Leipzig Bay”. The city and its beautiful surrounding region have so much to offer from history to a modern and multicultural gastro-scene, from impressive buildings to canals which link the city to the countryside.
The fact that the Tourism Professional Martin Duerrschmidt like the Hotel Manager Robert Bauer before him also spoke about Leipzig’s ecosystem, its Startups, business-organizations like the BVMW SME Association, and the university reaffirmed to us that “Leipzig Bay” is a perfect COWORKATIONERS location.
