Clew Founders Bay
It started as a meeting about a Coworkation by one of our German partners to Clew Bay; it became a large-scale Startup-collaboration.Quite a few members of the “CoWorkLand”-community offer Workation & Coworkation. A leader in that field is “Project Bay”, a CoWorking-Living Space with direct access to the Baltic Sea and a new Hotspot for Innovation in the North of Germany. Its Startup Accelerator on site is called “Founders Bay”. The focus is on Startups in the areas of Sustainability, TravelTech, New Work and Mobility. FinTech is also represented, and due to its location and the background of the Accelerator-Manager, the area of MarineTech will also become important.A dialog between the folks at “Project Bay” and Rainer Kiebat, the Founder of Coworkationers.com, started with plans for a Coworkation-partnership with three Hubs in and around Clew Bay. The conversation subsequently moved to “Founders Bay”, an introduction was made to Accelerator Manager, and we soon came to the realization that many similarities exist between the two bays. A collaborative partnership was born, which will see Coworkations in both directions with a focus on Startups in the areas listed above. The three-Hub-alliance “Clew Founders Bay” will be able to learn from the accelerator-experience and will also be able to rely on the help from Germany for its effort to build up similar structures at Clew Bay.Regular Meet-Ups for Startups will be another important pillar of “Clew Founders Bay”. More details on those, on other activities, on the development of the partnership with Germany, and of course on the three Hubs will follow soon.Watch this space!
