In 2025 #CoworkationersOnTour went to Barcelona. One of my favourite stops on that tour was a little bodega off the beaten path where I was the only tourist among the locals from that wonderful community. The guests sampling a famous regional vermouth, wine and tapas came from different walks of life. They were office workers, shopkeepers and artists, all telling their stories – partly with their hands when talking to me.
That kind of spirit of community, storytelling, authenticity and slow pace – contrary to overtourism – was at the heart of my very first conversation with Liliia, my guide for Art Tours in Barcelona. And as Tapas are on the menu for many of her tours it might come full circle back to my bodega.
